Seafood Manufacturing Company, one of America’s best-known distributors of Alaskan seafood products, was struggling with a slow, manual document workflow for purchase orders, purchase requests, and checks. The process was tedious, time consuming, and costly, so the company turned to Xerox Corporation for help, using solutions including Xerox® DocuShare®, NSi AutoStore®, and Nuance® eCopy® ShareScan®.

Xerox Corporation implemented a custom digital workflow that captured documents at creation, automatically separated purchase orders and purchase requests, and routed them into NSi AutoStore and then Xerox® DocuShare for secure storage and search. The solution also added eCopy ShareScan for scanning paper documents into the same repository, resulting in a centralized document system, far less labor for employees, and improved reliability and efficiency across the process.
