Home Retail Group, the UK’s leading home and general merchandise multi-channel retailer, needed a more efficient booklet-making solution for its corporate reprographics department. Facing limited floor space, tight deadlines, and a need to produce a wide range of high-quality printed materials, the company looked for a compact, reliable system that could handle both thin and thick booklets. Xerox Corporation was involved in the broader print environment, including Xerox Nuvera production systems.

Xerox Corporation, working with Watkiss, helped Home Retail Group install a Watkiss PowerSquare 224 Booklet Maker inline with a Xerox Nuvera 144 EA Production System. The solution delivered square-spine booklets up to 224 pages, improved quality and productivity, and enabled the team to meet tight deadlines more reliably. The installation took only a few hours, and over 8,000 booklets were produced in the first four days, while the small footprint also allowed the company to fit another press in the same space.
