Hwa Jet Same-Day Print Increases Demand

Hwa Jet Printing Company, Ltd. worked with Xerox Corporation to help the Baimi Wooden Clogs Museum in Taiwan respond to declining clog demand by turning decorative clogs into customized, wearable products. The museum’s existing process for adding personal photos to clog straps was slow and labor-intensive, forcing customers to wait about a week for their orders.

Using Xerox Corporation’s iGen3 Digital Production Press and XMPie software, Hwa Jet developed digitally printed, high-resolution personalized vamps on a specially created waterproof, recyclable paper. This enabled same-day turnaround, making the clogs durable enough for everyday wear and more appealing as souvenirs and gifts. As a result, the museum was able to increase demand for its personalized clogs and delight both visitors and owners with a faster, more practical custom product.
