Honda Performance Development, a subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co., was struggling with a rapidly growing and unmanaged print environment as the company expanded. With more than 40 desktop and workgroup printers from multiple vendors, 40 print queues, and no control over printing or usage, HPD needed a more secure and efficient way to handle sensitive documents and support its engineering-focused operations. Xerox Corporation helped address this challenge with a print and document management strategy centered on Xerox multifunction devices, Secure Print Manager Suite, and ConnectKey Technology.

Xerox Corporation consolidated HPD’s sprawling printer fleet into a much smaller set of strategically placed Xerox ColorQube and WorkCentre multifunction devices, all equipped with secure badge-based release and SharePoint integration. The result was a dramatic simplification of print management, stronger document security, better collaboration, and lower environmental impact. HPD improved its user-to-device ratio from 3:1 to 33:1, reduced toner and paper waste, decreased CO2 emissions, and freed IT staff to focus on design and engineering instead of printer support.
