Leading Global Manufacturing Company, a division of a multinational conglomerate, needed to cut costs, reduce waste, and gain control over a large, decentralized print environment. With hundreds of printers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners from multiple vendors, fragmented contracts, and little visibility into spending, the company turned to Xerox Corporation for managed print services and document management expertise.

Xerox Corporation assessed 10 sites and implemented a managed print solution that reduced device sprawl, introduced networked multifunction systems with security and reporting features, centralized service and supplies, and added print governance and change management. The results were significant: device count dropped from about 750 to 180, the employee-to-device ratio improved from 2:1 to 8:1, utilization more than doubled, print volume fell nearly 15%, and overall document management costs were reduced by over 23%.
