Case Study: Ruth Kelly Studio boosts print speed and color consistency with Xerox iGen4

A Xerox Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Ruth Kelly Studio Case Study

Helping a business with a proud history build a brighter future

Ruth Kelly Studio (RKS), a family-owned photography studio and lab serving more than 100 school districts, needed a more reliable way to produce high-quality digital print work. Its existing production press was frequently breaking down, color consistency was difficult to maintain, and support from the previous manufacturer was lacking, putting the company’s strong reputation at risk. Xerox Corporation, with the Xerox® 700 Digital Color Press and later the Xerox® iGen4® Digital Press, was brought in to help meet RKS’s demanding image-quality and production needs.

Xerox Corporation replaced the old equipment with a Xerox® 700 Digital Color Press and then upgraded RKS to a Xerox® iGen4® Digital Press, delivering consistent color, faster speeds, and better training and support. The new solution increased print speeds by 50%, helped RKS take on more short runs and turn jobs faster, and contributed to 10% business growth even as the industry was flat or declining. Xerox also provided extensive on-site training and support, enabling staff to improve uptime and expand into new offerings like hardcover yearbooks and custom yard signs.
