A Xerox Corporation Case Study
Grand Wailea Resort, a 780-room family resort in Maui, was spending too much IT time and money on printer maintenance, troubleshooting, and ordering parts for a largely non-networked fleet of printers. With a small IT staff responsible for hundreds of computers and guest-room systems, the resort needed help reducing printer-related downtime and costs. Xerox Corporation’s Managed Print Services (MPS) was brought in to address the challenge.
Xerox Corporation centralized the resort’s printers into a managed network, enabling proactive monitoring, cost-per-click printing, and streamlined toner and maintenance support. The result was at least a 75 percent reduction in printer downtime, lower toner and shipping costs, and major time savings for IT—freeing the team to focus on guest service and core systems instead of fixing printers.
