Elovena Oatmeal - Customer Case Study

Elovena Oatmeal, the well-known oatmeal brand from Raisio Nutrition, wanted to celebrate its 90th anniversary by re-energizing consumer engagement. The company’s challenge was to make the brand more emotionally engaging, create a new way to drive tastings of new products, and connect packaging with social media. Xerox Corporation, working through PackageMedia Oy, provided the digital packaging and variable printing capabilities used in the campaign, including Xerox® iGen4® Press and XMPie® PersonalEffect®.

Xerox Corporation helped PackageMedia Oy implement two interactive programs: “Social Shelf,” which let consumers submit aphorisms on Facebook to be printed on Elovena packages, and “Social Tasting,” which used QR codes on packages to let people send samples with personal messages to friends. The campaign generated hundreds of personal stories on packages, thousands of aphorisms delivered with tasting packages, and widespread sharing on Twitter and Facebook, creating strong emotional engagement and positive buzz that extended the campaign’s reach.
