Echo Communicate Inc., a Baltimore-based print and marketing services provider, was working with Capitol College to improve a traditional student recruitment program that relied on static direct mail and response cards. The college wanted to increase inquiries, campus visits, engagement, and enrollment while keeping marketing costs flat or lower, and Echo turned to Xerox Corporation’s XMPie PersonalEffect® cross-media platform to help make that happen.
Xerox Corporation helped Echo create a personalized 1:1 admissions campaign that combined direct mail, email, PURLs, and interactive web experiences tailored to each prospect’s name, hometown, gender, and academic interests. The campaign quadrupled applications, doubled enrollment, and drove a 29% PURL visit rate, while also lowering campaign costs by 10% versus the previous year.
