A Xerox Corporation Case Study
DNB, Norway's largest financial services group, faced a challenge when consolidating six Lithuanian offices into one. The decentralized and self-managed printing fleet was a financial and resource burden, lacking centralized control and transparency. DNB sought to outsource this function to optimize workflow, reduce IT workload, increase productivity, and enhance security without compromising its social responsibility goals. They selected Xerox Corporation, working through partner BMK, to implement a Xerox Managed Print Services solution.
The solution involved an assessment and the introduction of 64 new Xerox devices, secure pull printing, and proactive monitoring via the Xerox Global Contact Centre. This centralized management provided full transparency of costs and automated consumable replenishment. The results for DNB were significant, reducing printing volumes by 50%, allowing for expenditure allocation by department, and freeing the IT team to focus on critical tasks. The Xerox solution also helped the company meet its environmental goals by using less paper and electricity.
