DHL Express, a leading logistics and courier company in Mexico and worldwide, wanted to reduce printing costs, improve document management, and better control a complex print environment serving more than 3,500 employees. Its fleet included 5 brands and 46 models of devices, multiple suppliers and service providers, and little visibility into usage or spending.
Xerox Corporation performed a Lean Six Sigma-based assessment of DHL Express’s print environment and implemented a managed print service with support personnel, billing software, a monitoring system, and 405 devices across corporate offices, workstations, and points of sale. The result was a 25% reduction in printing costs, a 20% reduction in installed devices, and improved oversight, security, standardization, productivity, and environmental impact.
