Delivering a blueprint for savings, efficiency and productivity gains to Carillion

Carillion, a UK support services and construction company, was managing a large, fragmented fleet of desktop printers and copiers that had been acquired over many years and were often under- or over-used, expensive to run, and difficult to support. Xerox Corporation helped address this challenge through Project Amazon, a managed print and document production strategy that aimed to reduce costs and improve efficiency across the enterprise.

Xerox Corporation analyzed Carillion’s devices, optimized the fleet, installed online asset tracking, and provided ongoing fleet management, refurbishment, relocation, and support. The program cut Carillion’s mixed printer and copier population by about 60%, reduced the fleet to 800 desktop printers and 450 multifunction devices, and delivered savings of over £600,000 in the first six months.
