Fox Valley Technical College’s Printing Services department faced a crushing backlog of roughly 150 jobs in the queue, leading to unacceptable wait times, lower customer confidence, and pressure to deliver highly professional printed materials for students, staff, and outside training clients. As a result, turnaround times dropped from two weeks to two days in 18 months without adding equipment, output increased significantly, billing cycles were shortened from three months to two weeks after month-end, and customer trust and satisfaction rose sharply.
