Custom Photo Book Opens the Door to New Cutting-Edge Services at AGI

Artes Gráficas Integradas (AGI), a leading print production company in Buenos Aires, Argentina, wanted to help photographer Leticia Quappe self-publish a custom photo book for her exhibition, but its earlier offset-printing approach was too expensive and required far higher volumes than needed. The project called for a short run of only a few dozen copies, making on-demand digital printing the better fit. Xerox Corporation’s Versant 2100 Digital Press with EFI Fiery Digital Print Server was the product/service involved.

Xerox Corporation helped AGI produce 60 copies of the 120-page “Friends & Dogs” photo book, including 20 hardcovers and 40 softcovers on premium stock. The project successfully met Quappe’s cost and volume needs, expanded her services into high-quality photo books, and created a strong exhibition companion and reference piece. For AGI, the book became a showcase sample that helped position Xerox Corporation-supported digital print capabilities as a go-to option for creative, short-run, personalized work.
