The County of Los Angeles, the largest county in the United States, needed to optimize its printing operations to reduce costs and gain transparency into its substantial expenditures on devices and supplies. Its challenge was to achieve significant financial savings and streamline internal workflows without any upfront capital investment.
Xerox was selected to implement a Managed Print Services (MPS) program, which involved a massive consolidation of devices and managing all maintenance and support. The solution delivered by Xerox resulted in over $10 million in annual savings and a more than 56% reduction in printers and copiers. This also led to a 58% reduction in electrical consumption and freed up IT and administrative staff to focus on core services for the public.
