Capita Document & Information Services, part of Capita, needed to bring large volumes of outsourced transactional printing back in-house while creating a modern, highly efficient operation from the ground up. To do this, the company launched a new white-paper transactional print facility in Mansfield and partnered with Xerox Corporation, using Xerox® Impika® Inkjet Presses as a core part of the build.

Xerox Corporation served as the lead vendor for the overall solution, integrating the pressroom and partner technologies and getting the plant operational in just two and a half months after equipment delivery. The new facility produces up to 1 million mail packs per day in under 30 seconds each, delivers 100% integrity and full traceability, and cut production costs by 30% while reducing job streams from more than 250 to 3.
