Case Study: McGill University Health Centre achieves faster, lower-cost document management with Xerox

A Xerox Corporation Case Study

Preview of the McGill University Health Centre Case Study

Achieving the impossible better and faster, at a reduced cost

McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) needed to consolidate three independently operating print shops into one centralized Document Management and Printing Services location while continuing its ongoing forms-scanning initiative. The health centre also needed to ensure its existing equipment could meet future demand and maintain customer satisfaction in a larger, more efficient operation. Xerox Corporation was brought in to help address these document management and printing challenges.

Xerox Corporation provided a tailored mix of production and office print technology, including the Xerox® DocuColor® 252, Xerox® 700 Digital Color Press, Xerox® 8254E™ Color Wide Format Printer, Xerox Nuvera® production systems, FreeFlow® software, and on-site support. The result was better quality, faster turnaround, and reduced operating costs—down by about $5,000 per month—while color volume doubled and the department generated about $100K in gross revenues from external hospitals. With improved service and capabilities, MUHC also saw stronger customer feedback and a better reputation across the enterprise.
