Case Study: Pueblo City Schools saves money and boosts in-house printing with Xerox digital printing solutions

A Xerox Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Pueblo City Schools Case Study

A strategic asset for saving money and adding value

Pueblo City Schools’ Document Services Center (DSC) needed to manage very high print volumes, short turnaround times, and tight budgets while serving two school districts after a merger. To keep up with nearly 25 million impressions a year and growing customer demand, the district needed a more efficient in-plant printing operation that could reduce outsourcing and improve service.

Xerox Corporation provided digital printing solutions including Xerox® FreeFlow® Makeready Software and production devices such as the Xerox® 700 Digital Color Press, Xerox® DocuTech® 6135 and 6155, Xerox® Nuvera® 100 EA, and Xerox® DocuColor® 255. With Xerox, Pueblo City Schools brought yearbook production back in-house, expanded color capabilities, and delivered more jobs faster at 25–30% lower cost than outside sources, while also enabling 24-hour service on most jobs and helping the district save significantly on books, communications, and other materials.
