Ericsson achieves LEED Gold and 100% green-e local wind power with Xendee

Xendee worked with Ericsson Corporation to help the global electronics and telecom company achieve its goals for a new "5G factory of the future." The challenge was to design onsite renewable energy solutions that would support a LEED Gold certification, provide decarbonization pathways, and meet stringent business and operational objectives for the new construction.

Utilizing its platform, Xendee enabled the development of a plan that included a preliminary microgrid design for resilience and a fixed-price contract for 100% green-e certified local wind power. As a result, Ericsson achieved LEED Gold certification and successfully constructed and commissioned a Phase 1 PV project, offsetting approximately 25% of the facility's baseload power.
