GlobeCast, part of the Orange group, needed a reliable and cost-effective archive system for its new broadcast facility in Mediapolis, Singapore. The company wanted a solution that would integrate seamlessly with Evertz’s Mediator content management and broadcast automation platform while supporting its media workflows efficiently.

XenData provided an SX-522 digital video archive server managing a Quantum Scalar i500 LTO library, installed by Ideal Systems and integrated with the facility’s Evertz technology stack. The XenData solution delivered a robust, more affordable archive alternative, simplified integration through a network-attached storage architecture, and gave GlobeCast a scalable foundation that can grow from over 1 PB to many petabytes of near-line LTO storage.
