The National Electoral Institute of Mexico (INE) needed a way to monitor and archive broadcasts from more than 2,300 TV and radio channels across 150 unattended facilities, ensuring fair political coverage and preserving content integrity. After a vetting process, INE selected XenData’s archive technology, alongside Volicon monitoring systems, to support a country-wide recording and compliance effort under tight time and budget constraints.

XenData implemented 150 LTO archive systems using XenData Archive Series software on Windows Server with Dell PowerVault TL2000 tape libraries, integrated with Volicon Observer over standard network protocols. The result was immediate access to monitored content, strong data protection, reliable unattended operation, and straightforward integration; the system has remained in service for six years and was later upgraded to LTO-6 and newer server hardware, showing the scalability and longevity of the XenData solution.
