How IPV Helped The Home Depot Find its Story

The Home Depot Television, the internal broadcast arm of The Home Depot, needed to replace its aging archive system while supporting a small team that had to produce and distribute a large volume of video content efficiently. XenData was brought in alongside IPV Curator to help address the challenge of faster access to archived media, easier content management, and support for workflows across production and distribution.

XenData’s LTO storage system was integrated with IPV Curator, which ran on three in-house Windows Server VMs and connected to Home Depot’s Harmonic MediaGrid storage. The result was a more scalable, proxy-based archive workflow that let the team quickly locate, view, restore, edit, and transcode content without restoring high-resolution files first, improving speed and efficiency and enabling the same small team to produce more content.
