Saint Paul Public Schools’ Long-Term Vision to Have Personal Learning Plans for All of Its 35,000 K-12 Students Is Coming to Life with Xello

Saint Paul Public Schools, a large and diverse Minnesota school district, needed an EdTech solution to implement meaningful, student-centered Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) for all of its K-12 students, aiming to start this future-readiness work earlier than the state requirement.

The district implemented Xello, a future-readiness platform that allowed students to explore careers, document their interests and goals, and build their PLPs. The solution was integrated into the curriculum and used by counselors for individual advising. Xello provided an intuitive and central space for this work, successfully facilitating critical conversations about the future and enabling the district to track student engagement as they rolled out their strategic vision.
