How Prairie Hills USD Uses Xello to Help Meet Mandate Requirements and Align with the Kansas CAN Competency Framework

Prairie Hills USD 113, a school district in Kansas, needed a future readiness tool to help meet state mandate requirements. They previously used Career Cruising but sought a new solution that could better align with the Kansas CAN Competency Framework and support students in creating meaningful individual plans of study.

The district implemented Xello, a future readiness software. Xello's team mapped its pre-made curriculum and tools directly to the state's competency framework, fulfilling the district's mandates. Results included valuable student conversations sparked by the platform's interactive lessons, improved support for social-emotional learning, and the successful use of the Course Planner tool for postsecondary planning.
