A Xelix Case Study
EG Group, one of the world’s leading independent convenience retailers, faced major P2P challenges as it navigated divestments, team changes, ERP upgrades, and multiple SAP instances across regions. With 78 people in its P2P team, the company struggled with siloed systems, limited visibility, messy vendor master data, and a heavy reliance on manual controls to catch duplicate payments and overpayments after the fact. Xelix helped EG Group centralize and strengthen control across transactions, statements, and vendor data.
Using Xelix’s Transactions, Statements, and Vendors modules, EG Group gained proactive AP monitoring, automated supplier statement reconciliation, and a central source of truth for vendor master data. The solution identified £750k in historic overpayments at onboarding, prevented nearly £20m in overpayments overall, and reduced the vendor file from 22,000 to 15,000 records. Xelix also improved visibility, reduced manual work, and provided a stronger audit trail for EG Group’s finance transformation.
