GE Power Fleet Services, which builds software for remote monitoring and analytics, had moved to Agile and implemented CI with Jenkins but found releases stalled: unplanned work, slow, error-prone handoffs, and long waits to get software into production. To standardize and accelerate delivery across teams they needed release automation and pipeline orchestration.

They implemented the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform (XL Deploy and XL Release), using agentless deployment to automate releases, orchestrate pipelines, integrate with existing tools, and provide dashboards and rollback/auditability. As a result, releases that took months now take days, they save about 25 hours per deployment, use roughly one-third the resources, achieve “first time right” production deployments, saw a 2x ROI in year one (with higher gains expected), and gained better collaboration and data-driven decision making.
