Stater Successfully Implements DevOps with XebiaLabs

Stater, the Netherlands’ leading mortgage broker, needed to move faster to support growth and improve customer-facing systems but was held back by slow, error-prone releases: deployments could take 1–2 weeks, provisioning new machines 1–2 days, and releases often triggered post-production firefighting. Faced with the goals of faster time to market, better onboarding and digitization projects (including the “Accello Project”), the IT organization prioritized getting software “First Time Right.”

Stater adopted a Continuous Delivery approach using XebiaLabs’ XL Release and XL Deploy (integrated with Jenkins and other tools) to automate, standardize and orchestrate build, test and deployment pipelines across ~25 teams. As a result, machine provisioning and software deployments now take about 30 minutes, release frequency is targeted to increase fourfold (to roughly biweekly), post-release production issues have dropped substantially, and teams enjoy lower costs, greater transparency and faster feedback.
