The Next Generation Digital Signage Solution

NanoLumens, an Atlanta-based leader in large-format flexible and fixed LED displays, needed to modernize its Digital Interface Unit (DIU). The existing Windows-based DIU limited display control, content management and diagnostics, and could not support new capabilities such as beacon integration, social-media feeds, remote management or a logo‑free boot—while UI design was constrained by a single-screen interface.

Partnering with xCube LABS, NanoLumens developed a new custom hardware DIU running a hardened, customized Android OS and integrated IoT/M2M software. The solution added beacon and social-media integration, remote content management and diagnostics, flexible multi‑screen splitting, and strengthened security; it removed third‑party logos, enabled remote control and monitoring, passed successful trials with positive feedback, and is being prepared for rollout to TV screens.
