The project faced low stickiness (users not returning regularly), heavy community‑feed indexing and archiving demands, complex cross‑table database queries for friends/groups/feeds, and the need to handle sudden scalability spikes from PR and promotions.
[x]cube implemented targeted push notifications to re‑engage inactive users, scaled and partitioned databases to retain 6–8 months of chats with archival for older data, optimized backend queries, and coordinated with AdvoCare on promotion timing. The app saw rapid adoption—more than one million sessions in the first three months, peak activity exceeding 1,000 actions per second during season, and over 10,000 downloads in a single day.
