Leading Entertainment Company, a leader in the entertainment industry, needed a better way to define and implement a best-of-breed marketing program that could fully leverage its content creation investments. XCentium was brought in to help build a big data marketing strategy that could unify internal marketing data with social media insights.

XCentium designed and developed a big data solution using Apache Flume, Spring Social, HDFS on Amazon EMR, and analytics tools such as Apache Hive, Pig, Mahout, and Python MapReduce. The platform pulled data from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google Analytics to produce daily social activity and marketing reports, enabling sentiment analysis and predictive modeling. As a result, analysts could measure campaign effectiveness in near real time, improve marketing performance, and reduce IT processing costs.
