XCentium helped International eCommerce Company address a challenge with understanding which email campaigns actually drove sales. The customer was sending a high volume of promotional emails, but relevant data was spread across multiple database servers, making it difficult to assess campaign effectiveness and identify the factors behind purchases. XCentium used Tableau to analyze the data and uncover the patterns.
XCentium connected email, product, consumer, and sales data from several servers, then sped up analysis with a Tableau Data Extract. After iterating on the analysis with the client, XCentium identified which campaigns performed best and which consumer characteristics increased the likelihood of response. The result was a better understanding of sales drivers and improved email campaigns that generated additional sales, including measurable sales lift from purchases not directly mentioned in the emails.
