Online Precious Stones, Metals and Jewelery Retailing Company, a leader in B2B and B2C eCommerce for precious stones, metals, and jewelry supplies, needed to move beyond a brittle homegrown digital platform hosted in its own datacenter. The company turned to XCentium to help modernize its architecture and support a more flexible, scalable commerce experience using Sitecore Experience Platform, Insite Commerce, and Microsoft Azure.

XCentium implemented a content-driven eCommerce solution that integrated Sitecore, Insite, SAP, and Azure WebApps, along with XCentium’s Sitecore-Insite Connector. By running the full ecosystem in Azure, XCentium enabled rapid scaling for Black Friday traffic, adding capacity in less than an hour and helping the customer handle up to 70,000 requests per hour without disruption. The result was a 10% year-over-year sales increase for the five-day Black Friday period, achieved with less than $1,000 in incremental hosting and hardware cost.
