HaysMed, a private not-for-profit hospital, was struggling to troubleshoot rising performance problems in its growing VMware VDI environment and latency-sensitive remote sites. Before working with Xangati, the team relied on user feedback and basic network tools, which made it difficult to quickly identify the cause of VDI and metro-link issues.

Xangati helped HaysMed monitor VDI sessions and remote connections in real time using NetFlow-capable firewalls and the Xangati VDI dashboard. This enabled the hospital to pinpoint causes of latency and misrouted traffic, fix PCoIP proxy issues, and identify DFS micro-bursts that other tools missed, resolving problems that had taken weeks or could have taken months to find. HaysMed said it could now instantly see who and what was causing spikes, and expected about 400% VDI growth while continuing to benefit from Xangati.
