World Bank app makes it easy to conduct complex surveys anywhere in the world

The World Bank Group needed a better way to run complex, long-duration surveys in places where paper-based collection was slow, error-prone, and hard to manage. After evaluating existing tools and finding none that met its needs, the World Bank Group chose Xamarin to build the mobile component of its Survey Solutions platform using familiar Visual Studio and C# skills.

With Xamarin, the World Bank Group created a high-performance Android app that supports branching logic, dynamic question lists, pop-ups, radio buttons, and offline data storage for large surveys. The solution has been used in more than 30 countries and 50 survey projects, and Xamarin also gives the World Bank Group a cost-effective path to future cross-platform expansion by reusing code across devices.
