Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety gives constituents better mobile access to information and services with Xamarin

Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety faced growing mobile traffic and needed to make permit, inspection, and service information easier to access for constituents who rely primarily on phones. Xamarin helped the department build the LADBS Go cross-platform app for iOS and Android, giving users faster access to office locations, inspection requests, permit scanning, violation reporting, and current wait times.

With Xamarin, LADBS reused over 90% of its code and shipped the app in about seven months, despite having only one developer. Xamarin also supported testing through Xamarin Test Cloud and training through Xamarin University, helping the department launch a polished app that improved service for more than 1,500 daily online requests and better identified mobile user demand.
