Crédito Agrícola switches from platform specific development to Xamarin

Crédito Agrícola, one of Portugal’s largest banks, needed a way to replace costly platform-specific development for its enterprise banking app while still delivering a secure, native experience across iOS, Android, and Windows. The bank chose Xamarin to support cross-platform mobile development with a single code base, after finding that other tools could not meet its requirements for performance, usability, and security.

Using Xamarin, Crédito Agrícola and Xpand IT built the initial release in just three months with 75% shared code across platforms. The solution also used Xamarin Test Cloud and Xamarin Insights to improve quality, testing on more than 20 devices and catching issues earlier, which helped speed releases and reduce user-reported bugs.
