A X-Plora Case Study
CITA, the Arraiolos Municipality interpretive center dedicated to Portugal’s traditional carpet-making art, wanted to enhance its museum experience without overshadowing the heritage it showcases. To do so, it partnered with X-Plora and used the X-Plora framework to create a more engaging way for visitors to explore the exhibit.
X-Plora developed a mobile guide that helps visitors navigate the venue while adding storytelling through Augmented Reality. The app lets users view the original colors of aged carpets, learn about the artisans’ processes, and explore recreated traditional dye shops, all on their smartphones or via a rented device on-site.
