OXXO, a Mexico-based convenience store chain with over 24,000 locations, faced the challenge of capitalizing on 2026 World Cup excitement with a promotional campaign. Wyng implemented a football-themed gamified promotion within the OXXO mobile app, integrating with the existing Spin Premia loyalty program. For every 50 pesos spent in-store, customers earned "goals" towards prizes, with a trivia quiz ensuring regulatory compliance. The 10-day campaign, built on the Wyng platform, matched the engagement of a typical two-month promotion and delivered a 4.0x return on spend.
