Case Study: Stadtwerke Düsseldorf grows eddy into a leading shared e-moped service with Wunder Mobility

A Wunder Mobility Case Study

Preview of the eddy Case Study

How eddy went from “first mover” to established shared mobility service

eddy, the electric moped sharing service launched by Stadtwerke Düsseldorf, wanted to bring zero-emission mobility to Düsseldorf and build a reliable, customer-friendly shared mobility offer in a market that was still new. To manage the fleet and riders through one system, they turned to Wunder Mobility for a software solution that could support operations and a branded app.

Wunder Mobility provided the end-to-end platform eddy needed to run and scale the service, including fleet management, digital keys, and support for hardware expansion such as new Yadea G5L e-mopeds. The partnership helped eddy grow from its original 100 green mopeds to an expanded fleet, keep the service running smoothly through a 2021 ownership transition, and continue its growth as a well-established shared mobility option in Düsseldorf.
