A WSO2 Case Study

WSO2 and MedVision360 Delivering Healthcare across Europe

MedVision360, a healthcare provider, faced significant challenges in modernizing Europe's aging healthcare systems. Their goal was to create a unified electronic Health Record (eHR) platform, MedRecord, to integrate disparate patient data, apps, and devices. They needed to overcome issues of high cost, data security, lack of system interoperability, and complex international medical standards to improve patient care.

WSO2, with expertise from partner Yenlo, provided the solution using its open-source products. The implementation of WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Identity Server, and WSO2 App Manager allowed MedVision360 to securely expose and manage data via APIs, handle role-based access control, and integrate with third-party identity providers. This resulted in a flexible platform now used in over eight large EU projects, enabling developers to build applications easily and facilitating better, device-independent healthcare delivery across Europe.
