SUVA Streamlines Insurance Processes with WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus

Suva, Switzerland's leading provider of federal insurance, faced growing complexity and a lack of visibility in managing the web services that connected its disparate internal systems, customer platforms, and government agencies. Their initial proprietary integration solution, SAP PI, was time-consuming to manage and could not provide the service-level monitoring they required. This challenge led them to seek a new service-oriented architecture (SOA) solution and evaluate vendors, including WSO2.

Suva implemented WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (WSO2 ESB) as its central integration platform to abstract and manage the complexity of its heterogeneous IT environment. The solution provided critical visibility, robust security mediation, and high stability. By 2017, WSO2 ESB was managing over 250 web services handling 35 million calls per month with an excellent average response time of 200 milliseconds, significantly streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience.
