Speeding Delivery of Affordable E-Health With WSO2
BDigital, through its Active Independent Living group at Barcelona Digital Technology Center, needed to deliver an affordable e-health and smart home platform for seniors that would support independent living while meeting a tight commercialization timeline. To build eKauri, the team turned to WSO2, using WSO2 API Manager, Identity Server, Enterprise Service Bus, and Application Server to connect data, applications, and IoT devices.
WSO2 enabled BDigital to create a seamless development environment that sped up integration and product development. As a result, BDigital completed the first minimally viable version of eKauri in October 2014, three months ahead of schedule, and gained early customer interest and a built-in market for the product.
