Schneider Electric Uses API-driven Integration for Innovative Energy Management

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, needed a more standardized, API-led way to support its shift from solution-driven integration to service-oriented architecture while reducing backend complexity for customers. To do this, Schneider Electric adopted WSO2 API Manager and WSO2 Enterprise Integrator to expose and manage APIs, support real-time integration, and improve consistency across its systems.

With WSO2, Schneider Electric deployed API gateways across Europe, North America, and China to reduce latency and better serve regional users, while also building real-time dashboards and analytics for customer-facing insights. The results included faster project delivery, greater team productivity, stronger governance and reuse of assets, and improved customer experience, with EcoStruxure reaching more than 450,000 installations and mySchneider App serving about 30,000 monthly users in 36 languages.
