Case Study: Swiss Alpine Club achieves seamless single sign-on with WSO2

A WSO2 Case Study

Preview of the Swiss Alpine Club Case Study

Scaling Single-Sign-On with the Swiss Alpine Club

The Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) needed a simpler, more scalable way to manage identity across its many services, member types, and roles. With around 150,000 members, 500,000 users, and complex access needs, SAC turned to WSO2 to support a digital strategy centered on one login, single-sign-on (SSO), easier onboarding, and self-service account management.

WSO2, implemented with partner Avintis, delivered a solution built on WSO2 Enterprise Integrator and WSO2 Identity Server, with OpenID Connect, REST web services, and a consolidated master user store. The result was one login app for authentication, registration, membership applications, account activation, and password resets, helping SAC reduce data silos and let users access services like accommodation booking and the online store with a single identity.
