Realdolmen Empowers Brussel’s Digital Government Infrastructure with WSO2

The customer, RealDolmen, an ICT solution provider, was tasked by the Brussels Regional Informatics Centre (BRIC) to overcome the challenge of integrating disparate government systems. BRIC needed a central hub to enable secure communication and data sharing among various agencies and to build a platform for its open data and smart city initiatives. To address this, RealDolmen implemented a solution leveraging the WSO2 platform.

RealDolmen used several WSO2 products, including WSO2 ESB for integration and WSO2 API Manager for the open data portal, to create two scalable SOA platforms. The WSO2-based solution has been free from downtime and successfully delivers previously unavailable services. The results include the successful Opendatastore.brussels portal and a robust, affordable infrastructure that allows BRIC to plan for future expansion with IoT and other new initiatives.
