A WSO2 Case Study
Panasonic India faced the challenge of scaling its new MirAIe IoT platform to securely manage millions of users and connected devices. They needed a highly scalable, low-latency identity and access management (IAM) solution to support multi-tenancy, advanced security, and user authentication across various channels. To meet these demands, they turned to vendor WSO2 and implemented WSO2 Identity Server.
The solution from WSO2 provided a microservices-based IAM foundation, enabling secure user and device authentication via OAuth and OpenID Connect. This allowed the MirAIe platform to efficiently onboard appliances as users, manage token lifecycles, and support rapid expansion. As a result, Panasonic India launched over ten IoT product categories and offered MirAIe as a multi-tenant platform-as-a-service. WSO2 Identity Server successfully manages hundreds of thousands of identities and thousands of concurrent devices with minimal operational effort.
