Opitz Consulting, a project specialist firm, partnered with WSO2 to address a challenge faced by their client, MPK Kraków. The city's public transport provider needed to modernize its manual, paper-based communication with its drivers, which was error-prone and inefficient for managing a fleet that serves over one million passengers daily.
The solution implemented by WSO2 used its middleware, including WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and WSO2 Data Services Server, to create a central integration platform. This system acted as an intermediary, connecting a new web portal to MPK Kraków's various backend systems. The results included faster depot operations, the elimination of time-consuming paperwork, a significant reduction in miscommunication errors, and more efficient service delivery for the city. MPK Kraków became a more lean and employee-focused organization.
