Case Study: New York University achieves agile integration and service evolution with WSO2 ESB

A WSO2 Case Study

New York University orchestrates 20+ schools globally with WSO2

New York University (NYU), one of the largest private non-profits for higher education in the US, faced a challenge in managing the enormous amounts of data and complex services required to keep its numerous global schools and institutes connected. To enable agile innovation and allow its diverse systems to interoperate, NYU turned to vendor WSO2 and implemented its WSO2 ESB product.

The solution implemented by WSO2 involved using the WSO2 ESB to decouple services at the UI, middleware, and data levels. This was deployed on Amazon web servers with various WSO2 ESB clusters hosting the services. WSO2’s lightweight, high-performance integration platform provided NYU with the ability to orchestrate functionality and roll services forward or back in real-time at low latencies, resulting in improved business operations and transforming NYU into a more agile and innovative organization.
