Increasing Customer Engagement with a Unique Payment Terminal

Verifone, a leading global payment and commerce solutions provider, needed a way to support its Verifone Carbon payment terminal with a developer portal, app marketplace, merchant and estate owner portals, and strong device monitoring and management. To meet these requirements, Verifone turned to WSO2 and its enterprise mobility management capabilities.

WSO2 implemented a solution using WSO2 Enterprise Mobility Manager, now enhanced through WSO2 IoT Server, to securely authenticate devices and manage them remotely. The platform enabled OTA updates, background app installation and removal, device locking, rebooting, factory resets, log collection, and notifications, while integrating with Verifone’s legacy terminal management system. The result was a flexible, customizable solution that supported Verifone’s ecosystem without vendor lock-in and could be integrated into existing infrastructure.
