How Wells Fargo Created an Award Winning, Customer Facing API Channel

Wells Fargo wanted to improve how it delivered financial services online after noticing that consumers spend very little of their internet time on banking-related activity. To better meet customer expectations, Wells Fargo partnered with WSO2 and used the WSO2 API Manager to build its customer-facing API Gateway and DevPortal, creating a new digital distribution channel for its products and services.

WSO2 helped Wells Fargo launch the API Gateway with just 5 APIs in 2016 and scale it rapidly to hundreds of implementations by 2018.
